folc.ca's comment on HAZCO's answer to FAQ #22

Note: The background text in the following was copied from the Frequently-asked Questions page at HAZCO's website, Nov. 2, 2005.  HAZCO's answers to "frequently asked questions" deserve further comments.  Those comments are inserted where required in HAZCO's text and are shown on yellow background.

From HAZCO's FAQ web page (quoted verbatim):

FAQ #22. What have you done to keep area residents informed about your proposal?

Communication with all of our stakeholders is a top priority at Hazco.  We believe that to be accepted into a community and become a good neighbour, our communication lines need to be transparent and continue much further than just the application process.  To date, we have met with officials with Lamont County and Alberta Environment and have individually met with all residents located within a 1.6km (1 mile) radius of the site.  In addition, we have hosted an open house where 63 people attended.  Hazco has also committed to providing community members with updates related to project status.

Comment:

Certainly, HAZCO has done all of those things, but the "facts" they so "transparently" provided were extremely meager and kept changing all along.  Can someone who tells the same story in so many different variations of important aspects be trusted?
